Commensalism is when one organism/animal benefits from another without doing the other any harm. Like those little fish that swim along side sharks to eat the scraps of food that are left over, but don't bother the shark at all. Just watch the Discovery Channel for that one. Um, I know there are also other animals that do the same... I think maybe hyenas or vultures, because the wait until the lioness/lion leave the scraps on the carcass and then the hyenas or vultures go in to clean up.

Please look up the definition in a dictionary or in your biology book. For a classic example, how about lichens, where fungi and algae live in close association. In the Midwest we can find them growing on tree trunks.
