How do I find track names with itunes?

When I import a cd it says track 1, track 2, etc instead of the names of the songs.

In the itunes preferences>advanced>importing there should be a little ticky box that says something like retrieve cd tracks from internet. mark that and you should be ok.

it might be a little different if you are running a PC. (I'm on a Mac.)

That's a real bugger isn't it? However, miraculously it sorts itself out; not sure how but when I go to burn it onto cd, then go back into my itunes library, the tunes have named themselves. Spooooky..
