On Thursday, Jan. 25th I got a call from the school nurse tell me Nadia had recieved a "small bump" , Nadia was told Douglas the whole story when they got home.

3 boys , One holding her down "in the handcuff game" and one kneeing her and one threatening to rip her heart out, while yet 2 more boys egged them on and didn;t go for help.

And where was the teacher you ask?? on the bench talking to another teacher, while my child was being held down on her stomache, face in the dirt.

This happened at what is SUPPOSED to be one of the best schools around here. I am ASHAMED to have my child go to Riverchase Elementary.

NOTHING happened to the boys that did this. THEY GOT PUT IN THE THINK TANK, AND TOLD THIS WAS INAPPROPRIATE PLAY BEHAVIOUR.
i took her to the er, and they made pictures, and called the police. dhr was called. it was written up as assault 3.
teacher blew me off and said it was a game they'd been playing. This is a school system known for is show Two- A-Days show.

If I were in your shoes, I think I would talk directly to the school superintendant. I would insist they take disciplinary action against the children involved as well as the teacher who remained uninvolved rather than doing his or her job. I hate the term "Boys will be boys". It is too blasse in allowing kids to abuse each other. What these kids did to your little girl was not playing. It was terrorizing. I'm so sorry that she went through that. If the school doesn't respond in a manner of serious concern for these events, I would get a lawyer and sue for mental anguish and the cost of your daughter finishing her education, by PRIVATE tutor, at the SCHOOL'S expense, since they can't ensure her safety without making serious policy changes.

I want to congratulate you for being an Excellent mother. Your child will one day thank you for caring about her well-being and trusting her words about what happened. Absolutely close your ears to anyone who tells you otherwise. There are many people in this world who will, no matter what happens, blame the mother for anything that happens to a child. They will say the mother is either negligent for not being with her child 100% of the time, or that she puts too much stock on some scratches. All of this is nonsense. You are not God and cannot protect your child at all times; and you have every right to know what happened to your child and ensure that she is safe at school.

One suggestion is to get in touch with other parents. If it happened to your daughter, it may have happened to another child or it will happen. Form an alliance with others and hold your school responsible for your child's safety. That is the first of their responsibilities.

Whatever you do, never let other people tyranize you with their criticism or complacency.

boys will be boys...the problem, however, is that parents these days are PSYCHO! you can't hold children to the same standard as adults- so don't try to twist a little kid saying, "i'll rip your heart out" into a real life threat.
stop pampering your kid- you're giving your kid all of the wrong tools to survive in the real world- when her boss yells at her, she'll probably come crying to her mommy.

You SHOULD be ashammed of yourself- You treated a couple of kids like criminals and now b/c of you they probably have a 'record'- are you proud of yourself?...You went to the ER & the Cops...are you serious? ERs & the Cops are for real emergencies...thanks for wasting my tax dollars and putting someone's life, who really needed the ER or the cops, in more danger.
- it sounds like you were just trying to make the situation bigger than it was so that you could fabricate a better case for a lawsuit!- I hope the jury sees through it. Grow up!

See a lawyer. And please take your daughter for counseling this can scar her for life. I think I would have had the teacher against the wall and after a few smacks said OOOO it is just a game. She blew you off because she knows the response is inappropriate. These boys should receive therapy as well. That is not a game but raw aggression. See the lawyer. If for no other reason than to bring this problem to the for front. Good Luck to you and your daughter.

I think you should call your local TV news media and tell them your story, show them the pictures.........then turn them loose. I bet they'll make an issue of this. If I was in your place, I'd be upset too. Best of luck to you.

Did you call the district? I would sue the school. Did you call the cops on the kids? I would.

I guess if this is your fear, you should home school your child. Sorry this had to happen. Quit your job, and dedicate your life to your daughter.

You need to take this to a local news station or newspaper "troubleshooter" type reporter. If they do nothing, Bill O'Reilly would jump all over this.
