i just completed a 4 year Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from India (2006). I would like to know what additional educational qualifications/certifications are required to become a pharmacy intern and build a career as a pharmacist.

Update: the question is for becoming a pharmacist in US. One of the answers suggested that Pharma D is required. Is there any way to become a pharmacist by completing Masters instead of Pharma D?

The US requires a Pharm.D. We don't have a masters of pharmacy.

Since you already have a Bachelor of Pharmacy and don't sound like you want to apply to a pharmacy school here, you need to check each state's Board of Pharmacy for their requirements for foreign applicants. I'm going to include the link to California's.

In the U.S., you would not be able to become a pharmacist unless you get a PharmD.
In India, I don't know.
