Wikipedia answer is : Love is a basic dimension of human experience that is variously conveyed as a sense of tender affection, an intense attraction, the foundation of intimacy and good interpersonal chemistry, willing self-sacrifice on behalf of another, and as an ineffable sense of affinity or connection to nature, other living beings, or even that which is unseen. It manifests itself in feelings, emotion, behavior, thoughts, perception and attitude. It influences, underlies and defines major patterns in interpersonal relationships and self-identification.

Your interpretation of love changes as you mature, & experience different relationships. Honestly, I think that people often attempt to over-classify what "love" is, rather than just accepting how they are feeling.

In my opinion, romantic love is that feeling where you cannot be without the other person, & you are constantly thinking about them & over-joyed & feel complete when you are with them [some may call this lust]!

Long-term love is more based on friendship & mutual respect, in my opinion. Think about how you feel about your family &, if you are in a long term relationship, your wife or husband of many years [you become more like best friends, & not so much infatuated with eachother].

So, I think that love exists on a contiuum...depending on how long you have been with the person.

I think that too many people attempt to classify love in terms of committment [as in fincances play too big of a role...but that's life these days]. When it all comes down to it, love is an emotion [& greatly biological] so enjoy the raw emotion & try & put the other stuff to the sideline [finances, marriage, moving in together, babies..all the other stuff that deems you socially 'in love']

you know that you love someone when you will do just about anything for them true love is unconditional and never changes it is a matter of freedom to do what you want and to express things the way that you want to and to honestly love someone there has to be an ultimate level of trust there. And you know that you really love someone when u want to be with them whenever you can but still have the freedom to do whatever you want and know that u can trust them and that they can trust you. Love is understanding the person no matter what is said and also accepting them for who they are and never trying to change them. Love is being able to know that u can tell the person anything and never be judged.

Love is a feeling you get when you really like someone for example you date a fat person and every one makes fun of you and you break up with her for a better looking girl but she is real rude and you choose the fat girl instead.I bet you've herd this before but basically just follow your heart!!!!
