OJ was called for a technical after he dunked over someone and said something, then he went back and nearly caused a fight, and was called for another T. He will miss the next 2 games

Another live spectator of the actual event here...my take on it was that the ref should've thrown a double technical on the first call...the kids from Capital High were taunting OJ from the opening tipoff, trying to get under his skin...he was pretty restrained all night...got one monster dunk over one of the Cougars, and then talked a little bit going back up the court...the ref really overreacted...especially with the second technical...my buddy put it really well when he said the second technical would've been a good technical foul call, but was a horrible SECOND technical foul call...he had done nothing to try to fix the situation on the court...and where the other two refs were in keeping the situation under control is beyond my comprehension...I thought the kid (yes, he's still just a kid) showed amazing restraint given the verbal abuse he took up until that point. Shame on the refs for calling 45 personal fouls in the contest, instead of doing any real teaching or managing.

OJ Mayo is absolutely crazy the best player to come out of high school. it doesn't matter that he got thrown out he has just two more years til hes a pro. i saw Jerryd Bayless play last night (i live in AZ), he threw down an alley oop and was arguing with the refs all night unfortunately all he got were warnings. OJ must have said something bad because it takes a lot for those high profile athletes to get anything against them.

I think after watching the tape and reading the reports that this is a case of a referree trying to make himself a bigger part of the game! What Mayo did was minimal in the broad spectrum of that whole scrum...I think the Ref wanted his 15 minutes of fame!
See for yourself in the link that I have provided. He really did not do enough to warrant the first one and that was one heck of an acting job on the fall.

His second T was for the official turning the spotlight on himself when mayo accidentally brushed shoulders with him, literally. The ref completely flopped, and mayo, who appeared to have done nothing wrong, was thrown out for a ref with a bad back and apparently a huge clumsy streak.

doesnt matter..i saw the game(i live in charleston)...it was b.s....he shouldn't have been called for the first one...its not a technical if you hang on the rim to avoid coming down on another player and thats what would've happened...but anyway he's still the best in the nation and can (and will) write his own ticket next year..

It could really hurt him when it comes time for him to enter the NBA because scouts look at character big time. He's had other things like this happen I believe.

doesnt matter he will still be one of the most heavily recruited HS players anyway. he can be caught with weed and a gun and still have every college in the nation begging him to come play for them.
