my animation instructor said that and I think he's true. How about you guys.. you think it's true? they say that animators are shy outside because they are never shy in their animation works.

wow, interesting question, i've never really thought about it, but i agree with you. you don't realy see animators on tv or doing something crazy..unless it's in their works. I think the amime/manga that they draw shows their crazy inner side of their personality. I think they are shy, because all the do is draw, and think about ideas for the next chapter or next anime/manga, so they're quiet, kind of like they're in "thinking mode" all the time. And then when they get a good idea, they show their crazyness not outloud, but when they draw it out. I really like this question, it makes you think about it, and makes you want to go observe an animator doing his/her everday routine to see if they do anything weird outside, haha.

I think that's true of many artists. That's why they become artists... the need to express themselves, and the inability to do it by normal communication. I'm not an animator, but I do art, and I'm extremely shy- except for in my works =)
