I have sold on ebay before and was considering selling about a quart canning jar of liquid mercury. I know for sure that it can be used as a glaze enhancer for ceremics during firing but am not sure exactly how to promote it or if it is even legal. Any info you have would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

I would say that it is probably illegal in the US and Certainly illegal in Europe.

It's considered a hazardous material and you'd need to follow the guidelines set up for shipping that type of substance. Contact the postal service for information.

You'll need a "haz-mat" (hazardous material) license to ship mercury anywhere, it has specific guidelines for handling, storing, shipping. It also costs a lot for the permits.

The container you will need to purchase to ship that amount of liquid mercury will cost at least $150.00. The permit you will need to purchase will vary by state.
Thanks for asking a thoughtful question.
