FEMA is a disgrace to the USA. Under the Bush administration it has done almost nothing to help the displaced citizens of New Orleans. It has squandered funds and been fraught with corruption. My daughter worked for a yellow pages company here in Dallas and about 6 months ago the Federal Government moved a FEMA office into her building. She called me and said, "Mom, these people do not work. They spend all of their time in the parking lot listening to rap music. It is so annoying." After about 2 months the office was shut down.

Let's look at it this way: F.E.M.A stands for Federal EMERGENCY Management Agency. Now, what part of that means providing housing for everybody and who are you going to rob to get the money? The RICH? No, the rich own the businesses which provide jobs. They pay their employees. If they can't pay their employees they lay them off, which makes higher unemployment. Are you going to go down to the unemployment office and look those people in the eye and say sorry chief, you don't have a job because I needed Uncle Sugardaddy to give me a house, FREE? Are you gonna tell their starving children you took their mommy and daddies job for your own selfish needs? If FEMA helped like you suggest they wouldn't be able to help the survivors of the next Hurricane Katrina. Do you want that on your conscience? If you want to help older and disabled people call Jimmy"the Peanut Man" Carter and ask him to hand you a hammer and nails and help build them some fine houses like you think they should have. Why don't you buy and renovate the trailers?

Well, FEMA is the wrong department for that, but there is a huge waste with those trailers you're referring to. I'm sure there are some legal issues too, emergency shelters vs. permanent housing. I dont know, let's all write our congressmen and find out.

Because F.E.M.A. stands for Federal EMERGENCY Management Assistance.

Helping the elderly and disabled is not a federal emergency and is not within their responsibilities.

That's not what FEMA does. HUD is the entity that handles that type of thing. FEMA screws up because liberals are in charge of it.

Did you hear Bush in his State of The Union speech he never said on thing about Kathrina not onetime. New Orleans had been forgotten and he says he is the DECIDER. He is Dictator and if we don't Impeach him the other countries are going to get together and bomb us all to hell and back.

I think they should EBay them as fishing and hunting cabins, since they are so small and poorly insulated. (Have you seen them? I have)
