I have it in the aptly titled "The Nine Billion Names of God, the best short stores of Arthur C. Clarke." It was published in '67 by Harcourt, Brace, and World.

Amazon has one available: http://www.amazon.com/nine-billion-names-God-stories/dp/B0006BQLD8/sr=8-1/qid=1169930630/ref=sr_1_1/002-4824134-0604027?ie=UTF8&s=books

It is also in 'The Collected Stories' - every single short story he wrote between 1937-1999 (over 100, including all previously published collections).

ISBN 057507065X (hardback) also available in paperback

I originally read it in Of Time And Stars, but it's been published in several collections.

See the Internet Speculative Fiction Database at http://www.isfdb.org for a full listing.
