Conterary to popular beleif, it doesn't mean you lack calcium. They are just bruises on your nails.

I was always told they were like bruises. if you damage the nail before it grows past the cuticle, that's the "bruise"

I may be totally worng, It's just what I was always told.

It's because you need more calcium. I drink more milk and I got rid of them.
