I would say the answer is definitely yes, because so many in your shoes have done just that, gone on to lead happy fulfilled lives. But, this will take some commitment on your part. It won't just happen and it won't come and knock on your door. Action will be required, and change. Lots of it. How and what you think of yourself, the world around you, your place in that world. And you must answer the "why" you think as you do in order to backtrack and change your path to one of fulfillment. Therapy is a must, and lots of soul searching. You're so young, there is much to live and strive for. Believe it and you can achieve it. Good luck with that, really.

Hey... Answer these questions....

Can you still move your fingers?
Do you have missing limbs? Arms or legs?
Can you still lift your arm to eat?
Can you still walk?
Can you still dump your @#$% in the John?
Are all your senses working?
Do you still breath?
Does blood still flow in you vein?
Can you still feel?
Can you still speak?
Can you still remember things in the past?
Is your brain still working?
Can you still imagine?
Can you see what you want?

If your answer is yes to all of my questions, you have no problem... Other people lack something in all those questions, but they are happy in life. Your mom is right, but what you need is belief. Believe in yourself, Believe that things will turn out right, Believe that things are happening, because you believe it. That is how the universe operates my friend. You focus on what you want, you get it. Remember, it is not instant noodles. You need to prepare and cook. You just need to start and act on that belief. Everything will follow. Don't worry Help will come... trust me. ;-)
