My mom called and asked if I knew what movie she is thinking of. The only info she could give is that she thinks it came out in the last few years and had something to do with computer hacking. That is all she gave me to go on. I have no idea what it is. Can anyone help?

There are quite a few, but since it is for your mom, I'll bet it was Firewall with Harrison Ford.

Probably Firewall. Sneakers is over 10 years old and so is the Net and Hackers. It might be the Pulse, which is a horror movie based around computers and hacking which just came out to DVD a few weeks ago.

Well, there was a movie called "Hackers" with Angelina Jolie that was awhile back. There was also a movie called "Antitrust" with Ryan Phillipe and Claire Forlani.
