You say, " ... until every team has a dome stadium ..." that will never be the case, as they only build domes and retractable roof stadiums in cities where the weather can be severe. You think San Diego or Miami will ever have domes? Baltimore, New England, Washington, Seattle, Tennessee and others ... they all just built new outdoor stadiums.
Teams will always play best in their home conditions. Differences will always be a factor, be it dome versus outdoor, warm weather versus cold weather, or grass versus turf.
Funny thing, it could be Grossman becomes much better in the warm weather (he played his college ball at Florida) ... Peyton has played like garbage in the playoffs versus his regular season form ... could Rex far outplay Peyton in Miami, and win MVP? Wouldn't that be outrageous!

The weather is part of football. The cold, the rain, the snow, and the heat all make for a more interesting game. It makes people do and act different than normal. Causes a lot more turnovers. So really it depends on the kind of game you want to see. Me personally I like both playing and watching a game that is played in the rain or snow. It makes things a lot more difficult and brings a lot more skill to the game. On the up side of domes however, it is a lot better environment for the fans and media, everyone that can't stay warm by hitting someone else. That is why the Green Bay Packer fans are always know as some of the best fans in football. Not that I am one. No matter the weather they always show up, and at least 30 will have no shirt on.
Oh ya and maybe nobody noticed but the question had nothing to do with the Superbowl or teams that are in it. The question was just witch is better.

I think it's overrated that dome teams can't win in cold weather. Dome teams like to pass the ball a lot, so that's why they have trouble winning outdoors. If they have an effective running game, they would play better. Look when Atlanta won in Green Bay during the playoffs a number of years ago. They ran the ball effectively in the cold weather (plus Vick is not a greatest passer). If you run well in the snow, you will win in the snow...
It's better to play NFL games outdoor, but the NFL is so driven by money today. If teams feel they can sell more tickets and gain revenue with a dome, they'll build a dome stadium. I'm sure Arizona fans love their new stadium rather than getting baked in the sun. But if fans will come no matter what the weather is (Green Bay, Cleveland, Buffalo, etc...), build an outdoor stadium because football was invented as an outdoor game.
Same goes with baseball by the way. Although if it rains a lot (Florida Marlins), a domed or retractable stadium is better. You can't have 10+ rainouts a year... Messes with ticket revenue.

It's a teams individual decision. For alot of teams, it's a
definite home field advantage. And it's a fact that some teams
don't do well in certain conditions. The packers, vikings, bears, lions used to have a huge advantage playing outside in december or january. For instance, dallas has never won in Green Bay in January. Teams from dry weather areas like Denver don't do well in Florida. And going to Denver isn't a treat
because of the altitude. Climate control domes eliminate the weather or altitude advantage so you better have a better team.

I think it's just a matter of wether you can play football or not. Chicago would have been trampled by the if they hadn't had an outdoor stadium. I'm a Colts fan and the Colts new stadium is going to have a dome that opens during good weather. It's kinda stupid, their stadium is fine the way it is. O well, I guess they're just tryna say "See suckas? Our stadium is just as good as the Patriots!" Lolz, I like dome stadiums, their not as cold =). GO COLTS!!!!!!!!

Lets go back to when there was no dome stadiums. That is true football and the people would still come. Just look at the Buffalo fans. I have watch many of games that I wasn't that interested in just because being play in the rain or snow.

Football is a physical game played by men who adapt to whatever challenges the weather brings at game time. I didn't get to watch the Ice Bowl in 1966 due to an extended "vacation" in southeast Asia, but I always watch the highlights on ESPN Classic. To me, football is an outdoor game. Baseball can be played in a dome because baseball players cannot adapt to weather challenges. But, football is a man's game and the colder and wetter the better.
Go Bears!!!

Domes were created for the comfort of the fan, not for any other reason...People in Houston couldn't sit in the sun during the summer and watch the Astros lose everyday, so they built the Astrodome. Nowadays these domed stadiums have malls, museums, pools, hotels, etc, so the game isn't the only attraction.
I would rather watch football played in its natural environment, but i know from sitting in Giants stadium in the winter that i would rather not be freezing to death. I say Dome them for the fan..

Don't DOME THEM. The Steelers clearly don't want a dome. That is why Heinz field doesn't have one. Oh and the Steelers DO have an indoor training facility. So they AREN'T at any disadvantage. Only the teams that go to their field in the cold that aren't used to the cold are at the disadvantage.

Dome stadiums are a must for every team and better, especially with retractable roofs for ideal weather.
