No you should not be quite that distant, but you don't want to be any ones doormat either. There are a few good ones left...good luck finding one!

if you dont know who you are and continue to get involved with men that arent committed to you or what you believe. Yes this can be true. You have to understand something marilyn monroe was seriously depressed, she died of a drug overdose so think about where her words came from. She was a mistress. Most mistress dont feel worthy or have very little self worth. but if you find the right person then things will not be so hard and harsh

After several failed relationships, I realized that Marilyn Monroe was right about what she quoted. If we, girls, give in too much to a guy, they will somewhat take us for granted sooner or later. I think guys only enjoy the thrill of the chase most of the time. I have also come to realized that as soon as the guy got whole of you, his effort in you becomes less. By believeing in this quote, we actually save ourselves from multitude of heartaches.
Unless when you finally be able to see that you are number 1 in his life and the fact that he is willing to do ANYTHING for you sincerely, honestly and deep down from his heart, I guess it's only the time to forget about the quote.

don't buy that one, there are tons of guys around who would appreciate and cherish a sweet nice giving girl, u just have to have an eye to pick up a guy mature enough to handle that, and to take the opinion of a personality'less', painted, drugged (and to me not even attractive, infact substandard and low- class) sex object wont be a very wise thing i guess

No, I don't date computers. I don't want an emo either, just a "normal" person if such a thing exists.
And, don't forget, Marilyn got offed (or offed herself, depending on who you believe) so maybe you shouldn't follow her philosophy.
