I was in the Services and made regular donations to three charities directly from my pay (payroll giving). On leaving, my current employer did not offer the same so I set up direcvt debits to the same three charities. I also have an affinity credit card that gives money to a specific charity on opening the account and then on every spend.
Its easy to do and maybe all you out there who read this can offer something small to those more needy than ourselves.

Yes, at least 5 times a year to St. Jude, even if it's as little as $20. did you know that it is a hospital completely run on charities? It costs over $1 million a day to keep that hospital running. Plus, no child is ever turned away for not being able to pay. If you donate blood, you can request it to be sent to St. Jude in Memphis TN.

I make a regular donation to the NSPCC, at the end of the day five pounds a month isn't even the cost of a decent bottle of wine is it? If even the smallest donation makes a change it has to be worth it.

used to to the NSPCC-stopped when i changed my bank account over. I think that all these charities should arrange something so you could donate by text message-theres no hassle of direct debit (i used to donate £3 a week and 2months in a row it wasnt there and the bank charged me £35 each one!) and people could donate every time they top their phone up! even if its only a pound at a time it all adds up!!!

Emmaus

and a small bunch of others.

Not a lot because I am a broke mom of three, but I donate all our clothes and household good to charity when we are done with them (I also shop at these stores I'm donating to) and I give food to the homeless when I see them begging and I have extra.

Yes. We send clothing(new) to a reservation in SD. We contribute to other projects such as crisis pregnancy centers and other places as we see need. We work for a living but God gives us the strength and wisdom to do it. He also expects us not to be selfish and keep it all for our own pleasure.

Yes. Many of us are fortunate to have the opportunity to do so and I think more should if they can. Despite our Western whining, we typically have it so much better than those in the third world that through no fault of their own have to struggle to survive. Of course, there are those in our rich countries that also need assistance as well.
