gahh would this outfit clash?

i have a black dress...its velvet...tight fitting. its not a haltertop but its kinda like...strapless then a strap thing that goes around my neck...and then this silver gem thing by the neck. now i have to find a shrug to wear over it...but what color should it be..cause im not sure if black on black is gonna look sick or what.. Also, any ideas on where to get a shrug

im wearing it to a dance (date dance) its like homecoming

maybe you should try a bright colored shrug to offset all the black...maybe a color like turquoise or a plum would look really pretty

I think that maybe a bright color would brighten up your outfit, but I guess that kinda depends on where you are wearing the dress to. I recommend a bright pink or lime green shrug.

I like the idea of a black velvet layered with a black shrug. I say go for it.

Try matching it to your shoes. If you do this then you can wear any color and it'll make you stand out. You're right black on black is dull and boring. Don't go bright like lime green but try a burgundy or a hunter green. maybe even navy blue.

Any color goes with black. Just avoid using grey or brown, prefferably a brighter color to make the outfit stand out. Oh, and it doesnt clash.
