Stereotypes are very ignorant.
I have Latino family and friends and I LOVE THEM to death!
STEREOTYPES that are untrue about the Latino culture include some of the following:
They are "hot-blooded" and that they are very passionate as well as the men are "womanizers/cheaters" and also that "they all have tons of children."
Those are the stereotypes--however they are ignorant and incorrect because a stereotype makes assumptions about a whole group of people according to their race, which is non-sense! :)

Stereotypes of Mexicans and other Latinas--
they are lazy, they don't mind if their government is communist or a dictatorship, latinas are hot-tempered, latinas are terrible drivers, life is cheap in Mexico, Mexicans speak much more slowly than other Latinos, Latino/Latina newcasters always over-enunciate their names on tv, etc.
You said stereotypes, right?

I sometimes feel south Americans are smarter than northern Latinos, but thats probably not true. Stereotypes are insane and ridiculous with no base on reality.

My "opinion", as I expect most people's are: boooooo.
If you're asking about what the Mexican stereotypes are, I think in America they tend to think of illegal, migrant workers, or "lazy" (because anyone who's not white is lazy). And then there's the whole speedy gonzalez thing.

stereotyping is fear based, and some people need to categorise others in order to feel safe.
Yes I know it sounds a little dramatisc, but some peoples security of belonging to a common humanity is threatened by differences.

Asians are often associated with terroist (not my opinion)
South Park said Mexicans are sleepy lol!!!!!
I think they are bad though because it gives people instinct to hate people they don't know because of stereotyping!

stereotypes are for ignorant bigots. while a very few may fit into stereotyped descriptions, in the majority of case, it's all b.s....regardless if you're talking about race, sexual orientation, religion or culture.
why exactly are you talking racial stereotypes in the LGBT forum?

Sterotypes is a certain group of people and what other people think of that person and sometimes people put other people in a certain sterotype but they are basically just jealous or have thoughts of a person that may not be true.
