I lost my RAZR phone the other day. Tried calling Cingular, but they said there is pretty much nothing they can do. Is there a way to track down who stole the phone? I mean I tried explaining to Cingular that what if this person gets online or calls using my phone? Can't they track down the number associated with the phone? They said no.

MOre important than the phone is the sim card I lost. Although there has been no activity on my cingular account, and I have already gotten a new phone with a new Sim card and transferred the number on it, it would be nice to have the old SIM card back -- would allow me to get my contacts back!

Make sure you report it to the police, just in case it is found. You can get your phone back with the sim card. Then you could not activate the phone either as it is already in the Cingular computer as lost or stolen, and you have received another phone replacement.

Now if you got your present phone thru insurance replacement and eventually your old phone is returned, just turn it in as it can not be activated.

But if you paid for the present phone, and your old phone is returned then at least you can resell it.

If your phone was on and had GPS location then they could track it down but I guess the Razy does not have it like mine.
