How can I maintain the order of songs when I transfer them from my computer to my IPod?

I imported my CDs to Itunes, but when I connect the computer to the IPod, the songs are transfered in a "shuffled" order, i.e. the order of songs and auodiobooks I have on the Itunes is lost. How can I maintain the same order in the Itunes when I transfer it to the IPod?

At the top of the screen, there should be a bar that has ways to organize your tracks. If you right click on it and select "Date Added" it should be in the right order.

On your iPod, after you create a playlist, right click on it and select "copy to play order"
