Interest is slowly going up on CDs.
No risk.
You can tie it up for as little as 3 months @ 5.+% -- depending on what institution you go to.

Invest it into a safe hedging strategy in the foreign exchange market and watch it double in 6 to 8 months.

Money markets usually have good returns and they are liqiud assets in case u need money at a later time. i usually don't recommend cd's because rates fluctuate too much and they are locked in.
