I've already been to Italy and Switzerland (loved them both) and I'm going to Spain in April.
What is your favorite place in Europe?

My favorite place is Prague, in the Czech Republic. After that, I would travel to Bavaria, there is much to see and do there. Steer clear of France, unless you want to be insulted and treated like ****.

I'd have to say Italy, and I guess you should know! I'm a sucker for history, art, and the "traveler, not a tourist" thang, not to mention the warm (maybe a little too warm, at times) climate. There's always something to do, museums to see, people to watch, etc. etc. Nothing measures up to Italia!

I'm planning on Greece this summer, which I'm almost as excited about (except the fact that it'll only be 2 weeks, thanks to a certain boss.. ergh). Similar to Italy and Spain in style and feel!

I agree about the France factor, though; Paris is a place everybody needs to see at least once in their lives, but the amazing architecture and history is pretty much squashed by the people that live there. If you really must visit, try to play down the American-ness as much as possible. My Mom and I stuck to our strict Polish language while there, but not even that helped in some cases.

Good luck and have fun in Spain!

Germany is a great country because there are many different regions. You have the Black Forest, The Bavarian Alps, The Berlin Wall, and Industrial Frankfort area. There is such a rich culture all over the country. If you go, check out the mid evil walled city of Rothenburg ob de Tauber. It's wonderful during Christmas with lots of festivals, Markets, and Kathe Wolhfarte Christmas shops (open year round.) There is also an interesting museum that you won't want to miss. (Torture and Culture of mid evil times.) Munchen is another city to see, as are the famous German Castles: Neuschwanstein, (King Ludwig II), Herrenchiemsee Castle , etc. The darker side of Germany is, of course, is the Holocaust history there. Dachau near Munchen offers tours and has an interested (but graphic) museum. Good luck!

Europe is very beutiful. But i like Slovenia most. Cuz it has everything, the coast, mountains, lakes, valleys, woods, caves. It is not big and there isn't much criminal. U can party also. The best way to know where something is happening is to just ask the youngsters on the street. Bars mustn't be far. Also prices are not so high like in switzerland. Slovenia is in Eu and Nato, so can't be afraid. People are nice, specilay to turists. It is worth visiting.

I'm dying to visit the place in Ireland where some of my family came from, and the little village in the Les Berges park in a valley of the French Alps where some of the others came from.
