I live in US so I am 6 hours ahead. Do people in Britain still go clubbing and to pubs or has it become more of a private thing?

I'm going to the pub soon. My friends have already gone just gotta wait for my bf to get home. Getting restless though, can't miss my Saturday night drink.

Pubs are still a huge thing over here - but I'm not well so I have to stay in tonight!

In the UK the pubs are open till 1 am now so I go out about 8.30 pm

Because I don't think I want to be surrounded by vomit and violence and am not afraid to admit that I never go out after dark. However, I don't complain because I was able to have a lot of fun during my youth. You just don't know what you're missing.

serious drinkers prefer not to go out on a saturday as it's too busy and getting served takes ages. better to stay in and get tanked up. better going on a session during the week and phone in work sick the next day

yeah?! we have the best clubs around...and pubs. and what do you mean by private thing?! everyone everwhere goes to the pub, even if its now and then?!

I am in Spain and we don't have dinner till about 10pm and as it's only quarter to nine I've got plenty of time to get ready.
Why aren't you out anyway?

I'm in because
1 I'm too old for clubs
2 I'm knackered, - beacause I'm old
3 Im babysitting my nephew - because his young mum's gone out clubbing
Did i mention i was old! well 41 actually, but my teenage son says that's well old by todays standards bless him!

There's lots of better things to do with your life than going to some public restroom and seeing how much you can pee.
