To help him predict the future, the only useful thing would be to get him a course of ornithology, and send him to watch those birds migrating. Or at least buy him an owl costume. That might cheer him up.

maybe just tell give him the compiled chart of when and where they were spotted
maybe then he use the data to see what undeveloped natural places are worth preserving.
Maybe your Uncle is very rich and wants to preserve some old trees or natural habitat.
