everytime you download a song for free it is always illegal, no matter what program you are using. If you would want a song but you don't wanna do something illegal then just buy songs from itunes.. But no one cares if you're downloading songs for free in limewire..

Nowhere - unless it's part of a promotion from either the artist or recording label, sometimes they will offer a free download of a new song for a limited amount of time to promote the song. However, some LEGIT online music vendors (Napster, Musicmatch, iTunes, FYE, etc.) will offer a free download as a promotional item (redeeming a coupon of some sort from a marketing partner for example). Otherwise, the only LEGAL way to download music is to pay for it.

legal and free dont mix. you cant dl legal songs for free. if you want to place the blame on someone for it then blame metallica. but i know a place where you can get legal songs from small lable or no name artists that put their music there vaulentarily so they can promote. you wont find any big names just small groups looking to get their name out there so it is a good place to discover artsits. its the music section of downloads.com. that is the only free legal place i have ever found

bearshare, limewire, and kazzaa are not legal unless you ahve the gold or pro versions that you pay for monthley

www.gomusic.ru

It is 100% legal! Plus, you can download an entire CD for around $1.15.

It's a Russian website IN PERFECT ENGLISH. That is why the downloads are so cheap. They convert your dollars into rubles. The dollar is very strong right now.

MySpace.com has a lot songs you can download for free. The band will usually allow you to have a popular song of theirs for nothing.

"Free" and "legal" don't go in the same sentence as "song - downloading." If you are going to get a CD for free from someone you don't know, isn't that on par with stealing? Either get people you know (from real life, from the Internet) to send the songs you want to you, or but them off iTunes or your favorite record store. Don't go to websites you don't know and download unlimited free songs from them, because there's got to be a catch, right?

rather relies upon what you're downloading. If the content fabric is fairly "loose" and the guy sharing it has a license to accomplish that, then that's completely criminal to acquire that report. regrettably quite some the archives allotted over Limewire (and different P2P networks) are copyrighted works and the guy sharing it don't have a criminal good do distribute it. those are the situations the place the RIAA/MPAA (or the enterprise on your united states) and the content fabric vendors artwork to sidestep pirating of their content fabric. The content fabric vendors hire concepts to examine for archives making use of a similar P2P kit that the frequently happening clientele run, they only seize greater innovations and build a record of unlawful report sharing (the two upload or acquire) and bypass that directly to the legal experts to pursue. i don't be attentive to the share of people who share as against those that share and get caught yet i does no longer want to threat my or my households funds over a song which you would be able to get for ninety 9 cents on iTunes or comparable centers.

There are no LEGAL downloads of FREE songs. Some sites offer previews of songs for free, but that's the best you can get for FREE and LEGAL.
