In my defintion, bragging means that you are not accustomed to something and then all of a sudden you get it so you brag to let people know that you now have it! get it?

They need someone to boost their ego and self-confidence. I understand what you are saying. I don't know if people pretend they are rich but I do get a little annoyed when people ask if they should get this particular Luis Vitton purse or these Chanel glasses or whatever. I feel like I'm in a Super Sweet 16 forum and I can't get out. lol!

Your question reminds me of bathers in the beach dressed in their swimming attire, you cannot tell a King from a pauper, or a Queen from a maid. The same theory applies to persons chatting through the computer, you cannot tell who is who, and anyone can pretend to be the person of his dreams!

I've never noticed but you have a good point. Anyone who brags about money, cars or whatever that means they are not secure with themselves.
