there are plenty of better* job opportunities all around the world why pick Southern Cali or England.* Do you like living in the heat or the rain/cold/damp? What job experience do you have? What field are you looking at~?? those questions should be answered before you head off to another part of the world, just to find work*

Southern CA has a LOT of job opportunities for various professions. The pay scales do not match the cost of living.
Production workers at factories make less money per hour here than in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Engineers make the same money as in Atlanta, GA.

I think England. I have a friend in computers in California and he has been out of work a lot over the last five years. Good jobs are scarce there.

Being from England and struggling to find suitable work I would say it isn't as easy as everyone thinks - however, there's a lot worse. I think it depends very much on your career field.
