We're not really beach people, but enjoy the sun and like having our own pool (hence the preference for private villa). We like sight seeing, shopping and good nightlife, restaurants, bars etc. nearby. We would be looking at going for two weeks in late April/ Early May.

Well at that time of year Florida certainly has the weather and there are plenty of places there other than Orlando. We found St.Petersburg to be nice or anywhere on the gulf coast side, lots of things to see and do and if you drive you can go over to the other coast where Kennedy Space Centre is.Tampa is nearby to St.Pete's too. It's a lovely state that unfortunately gets seen as just being about Orlando!

Go to Vegas. The weather is wonderful that time of year. The pools are the most incredible in the world as is the night life and food. Shows, shopping, sightseeing...this town has it all. You need never gamble to have a great time.
