Liza Minnelli is famous for many reasons. Some reasons are because she has two famous parents. Vincent Minnelli, a very good director, and the world's greatest actress and singer, Judy Garland.
Liza eventually got away from just being famous for that and went on and became famous doing movies, TV, concert, records and more including

Well she is the daughter of Judy Garland. Liza Minnelli has won an academy award for her acting and is a very good singer. She is now old and rundown, but go see Caberet, great movie.

I can see why you ask that now that she's an old droopy faced woman. Of course being Judy Garland's daughter helped her but take a look at the film 'Cabaret'. It was made either in the late 70s or early 80s. She plays the extravagant 'Sally Bowles' really well. In fact, I don't think anyone else could have played the part so well

At one time before booze, drugs and age she was the Queen of Broadway with Cabaret and Company and a One Woman Show. She also did some movies, some of them like Arthur pretty good.
Like her mother Judy Garland time has not been kind to her
