Thinking about moving to MCallen TX. How are the schools in this area?

Well, I'm not from McAllen but am from the area, and school are really not that great, but there are some academy's that i've heard are pretty good. There are some career derived highschools that are great! And also save a spot in college for those graduates! This area is way different, really good teachers are hard to come by. Throughout all my schooling I only had like 5 great teachers! It's all politics down here! Really.
