You do agree that the company can share certain information with your bank, health care provider(s), etc. However, to ensure that you keep the company's business confidential, they ask that you sign a confidentiality contract. Sometimes, to take the 'sting' out of such a document, they make it sound as if it works both ways.
The confidentiality of your business is covered by many federal and state laws. The company does not have the same protection.
