I'm 5'8"and 12 years old.
Every one im my family besides me is average or short.
Will I ever stop growing? Will I be at a normal height when I'm an adult or an older teen?

I started grwoing taller than everyone in the second grade, so I wasn't always this tall.

i think i was 5'8'' even at 11 and remained that height im 20 now :)
pls dont try to slouch
and stop waking under the pavements like i used to do at ur age :S
and dont settle for a short bf either it will ruin ur esteem even more

Tall is cool. I am 5 foot 11 inches. I was also 5 foot 8 when I was 12 years old. I know that, because my class made a time capsule and that measurement was in it. Being a really tall young girl sucks, because you are taller than the boys. Once you become an older teenager it starts to get cool though. Being tall gets even better when you're an adult. Hang in there. You may stop growing soon. Most girls stop growing at age 13/14 years old, although some do grow past that too.

Honey, its just genetics, it doesn't necessarily mean you have to take after your parents, you could take after your aunts, uncles, grandparents. its all up to your geans. I can't tell you that you'll stop growing, because you won't until your 24, that's when all women stop growing completely, but look at the good news, you can always be a great basketball player, or you can take up modeling and make a fortune! Good luck sweetie, it may be awkward for you being so tall at that age, but I'm only 5'2 1/2 and I'm 23 so in understand how hard it is to just want to fit in sometimes!

I loved to be tall, u should go out for basketball. You could be really good and the guys will then like you. U will stop growing when your 18 so they say. I am 6"1 love it.

kids that start growing at an early age will stop growing at an early age too !! so its ok if everyone in your family is average or short then you will be the same. you should go see a doctor to make sure. he could tell you how tall you will be by looking at your bones...

Ask you mom if any one in your family tree is real tall and youll probably grow another 6 inches

My g/f is 5'0" and she is 16. She is skinny too. She does gymnastics and so does her best friend who is 5'7"
Height don't matter. She always wishes she was taller.

hey i'm 14 and 5'8! i've stopped growing! yay! you will stop pretty soon. i hated being tall when i was younger, but now it's great!

you'll stop growing in another year or two. most likely you will be 5'10" or close to 6'.
tall girls are cool! i wish more girls were taller than 5'10".
