I think that his performance was great, more deserving of an Oscar than Reese Witherspoon. He is a fantastic actor who gave a convincing portrayal.

YES!
I cannot believe he got passed over.
Reese deserved it too though so I'm glad she won. They both performed amazingly and using their own voices and them actually sounding pretty good was so awesome.
But, I mean I think reese won at least 2 things for that movie and joaquin didn't win a thing and i was hurt because to watch her win something and him end up with nothing when he was really the star was kind of wrong.

i think he was deserving but the academy wasnt going to give him an oscar for playing in a biographical movie about a famous musician with a drug problem because they gave jamie foxx the oscar the year before for playing almost the same exact role in ray.

sure he did, before walk the line I was not a fan, but since I think he's a great actor and a really good singer

I so agree, I mean he was so great in the movie. She was just so, supporting. I mean he did a great job protraying Johnny's demons. (Drugs, women, etc.,) Shewas okay but I thought most of the star quality in the moive was from him not her.

Yeah I think so. He did his own singing for pete's sake......If Reese got one, he should've gotten one too. He did an amazing job.

i dont know about that but he was robbed for his role in "gladiator"
