Just wondering..... I always liked being watched when I was a kid.

All children like to have an adult or other child watch them do anything. I'm always fighting to keep each of my three children happy trying to "watch" all of them do something at the same time. I think children need that reassurance from others to believe that what, how and why they are doing something is ok and acceptable as a human being. It's so sad that so many parents don't take the time to watch, and praise their children because it really does effect the outcome of their children's views on life in general. Great question!!

LOL - that's a good question!
I think it may be because having fun is always more fun if it's a shared experience. Also because it's something they are able to do themselves, and they go fast and so it feels a bit exhilerating and dangerous to a child and yet they are doing it, so they want someone to bear witness to it.

I think everyone, not just kids, like to have other people watch them and join in the fun they are having when they are doing something that is fun. I used to like my mom watching me when I rode my horse, made me feel like someone else was enjoying me or happy for me

They like to be admired and acknowledged not only when sledding, but in any other sport event.
