hi, i was just wondering if this has happened to anyone before? i know no-one can tell me what it is,but any help would be great.
2/3weeks ago, i was diagnosed with a kidney infection( severe need to use the loo frequently, pain on using the toilet etc) and was given antibiotics. They had no effect and it got worse, and i had a constant uncomfortable pain in my lower abdomin+'down there'. My doctor gave me a stronger dose of antibiotics which seemed to do the trick. I finished the course on wednesday- but i can feel it starting back again.

I'm wondering if it is a kidney infection at all, since i had no pain in my lower back. I've also had a slight increase in discharge- thick n white.

Any ideas? Thankyou xx

Antibiotics kill all the good and bad bacteria. Three days after taking a round of antibiotics you need acidophilus to replenish the good bacteria. Acidophilus can be bought at a health food store and get the refrigerated kind...and/or eat yogurt. Until you see your doctor drink a gallon or more a day of liquids...flush the kidneys. Cranberry juice is good for the kidney infections..

It sounds like a urinary tract infection, bladder infection (cystitis), The extra strong antibiotics have made you acquire a vaginal yeast infection also.
Next time see a urologist and get a urine culture and sensitivity. This will tell which antibiotic is best. He/she can also prescribe something for your yeast infection.

No idea what it is, but have you had test (MRI, etc.) to make sure that it actually is a kidney infection?

You might want to get a second opinion, if you are not sure that it really is a kidney infection.
