hmmm
it depends what u mean by 'download' films to your laptop.

1 if u want to copy dvds to your comp then use something like dvd decrypter this makes it possible to copy them, although they are biiiig files, so maybe 5 dvds on a laptop is not such a good idea, unless you use a program like dvdshrink.

2 if u want films that are good quality and not to big maybe using a program to get them off the internet, u can use utorrent, and then u can get the films from a site like torrentz.

So maybe that would be better, because 5 dvds and u are looking at maybe filling your computer.

Just put the DVDs into the DVD drive - that will get them playing!

There are many places to download DVDs from too - the Kubuntu DVD for example, can be obtained from here:

It depends if you have the proper laptop or not. If it has a DVD writer/reader. it will work. If not it wont. If it does have a dvd reader. you have to download a program that rips dvds on your computer from the internet. Try this website http://www.dvdtox.com/dvd_ripper.htm

that should be all
..ps...make sure you have enough memory...or else you wont be happy.
