This question has been asked before and there are conflicting answers.
Some said their ipods worked but it took 3 weeks to dry it out completely.
Another one said the battery died completely
Do not use a blow dryer. Sunlight, is best or next to a 56 degree heater, not hotter than that.
That might be the same as my digital camera that got wet in the beach. For a while it appeared that it was garbage. but after a few months of leaving it alone ,it dried completely, and it worked ! Amazing. Just like that, after around 4 to 5 months.
I still have that pretty Casio.
So your ipod might still work. Let us know after it dries up.

It depends on how long it was in there, what chemicals it was exsposed to and if the water managed to get INSIDE to the device's hardware. Probubly it wont work normally. If it does then that's a miracle. LOL. These gadgets are delicate peices of equitment and like most other electronics, that aren't made for the water or rough activity, will become anouther dead widget in your collection.

If your IPOD has a warranty that is still good or if it is Insured, you can get a free new replacement.

Good Luck!

an ipod isn't like a piece of clothing- you can't just dry it out and it'll be all good to go. Have you had your ipod for over a year? If not then call up apple's customer service and talk to them.

matters what ipod you have. if its an older one you can pretty much bet its still good. but if its one of the newer/smaller ones then its time to start thinking about getting a new one=[
