There is nothing wrong with anal intercourse. Many people, myself included, enjoy it and there is nothing wrong with those people or myself thank you very much. There is so much sexual disinformation spread on this site that it can get confusing but if you're in doubt then consult a doctor. A real doctor, not one of these folks around here who might claim to be a doctor but couldn't spell PHD if their lives depended on it.

If you are asking about anal sex from a religious context then I would refer you to a spiritual leader of your faith and again advise you to ignore what is written here by the people who think that they've got an inside track into knowing exactly what God wants and are acting as his personal mouthpiece to enlighten the rest of us.

If either you or your partner have an STD then anal sex will make it easier to pass it between you. If neither of you has an STD then anal will cannot create an STD where one doesn't exist. Anal will not cause rectal cancer or cause you to lose rectal control and have to wear a diaper for the rest of your life. Those are just sexual urban myths told by the ignorant in an attempt to share their ignorance with others.

Again, if you aren't sure then talk to a real doctor. You don't want to trust serious questions to a group where a given answer is "Ewww" do you? Right, I thought not.

It really depends on your personal ideals. Some people hate it, and think it's so wrong, but other people love it, because of how it feels. They may even like because it's considerably 'dirtier' than normal intercourse, and some individuals like dirtiness. lol
In some cultures it is. They call it "sodomy."
In some areas, 'sodomy' is against the law. But many people probably do it anyway, because they like it and can't get caught.
If you believe in the Bible, then of course anal sex is condemned.
Many women don't like it because if the man has vaginal intercourse with her after having anal sex, there is a higher risk of infection. If he asks her to give him a ******** after anal sex, there is the risk of getting infected with E.coli. However, some women could care less, and love it. Of course, as with all forms of intercourse, there's the risk of STDs.
As for gay men, that's one of the only ways to have sex. Gay sex is another tough question for people, and another matter, but there is also the risk of STDs that would probably be the same if one was a woman. Nobody is invulnerable from STDs.
Other risks from anal sex include fecal incontinence, hemorrhoids, and damage to the colon and sphincter muscles. There are many other risks as well.

There are many people who have never tried it, there are those who don't WANT to try it, and there are those who like it. It's really hard answer this particular question, mostly because it's a matter of personal preference. Some are guided by religion, while others are guided by the heat of the moment.

If some people say anal sex between men is totally wrong, that the only reason why the anus is there is for elimination, then is anal sex with a woman acceptable? It is only considered acceptable, because of the social norm...or what society thinks.

If you are referring to man and woman, it could hurt the woman and cause premature hemorrhoids or bleeding. If you are referring to homosexual men, then, yes it is wrong. The anal orifice is meant for elimination and was not really created for the purpose of intercourse, so that problems can arise, no matter how good it may feel at the time.
