Postman picks up packages from my home my scale may differ from theres do they give u any leeway / the weight?

No they don't - always go with the the higher weight if it is almost 2 ounces - use the postage for 2 ounces. Also, now any thing over 16 ounces needs to be hand delivered to the post office.
