I had a partially open fist in kumite and now my thumb is numb in the joint area (lower joint).

How long is it supposed to stay numb for? And does moving it with my other hand even though it hurts alot help?

So basicly what i need to know is how can i make it heal overnight?

Thanks.

You can't overnight. What art U in to? I can send you some sites. After looking at them there's no real fast cure depending on the severity of it. See what i saw. I have used deep heat rubs help a lot & a heating pad or hot towel (nuked ).

Your thumb should not stay numb more than a few seconds unless you've injured a nerve, in which case it might be dislocated in some way. Too late now, probably. but they say after an injury to apply ice for the first 24 hours; after 24 hours, apply heat for 15 minutes at a time to increase blood flow to the part. If it's dislocated, you'll probably need to have it adjusted by a doctor (orthopedics).
