It takes anywhere from 6-18 months for it to totally wear off but don't rely on that solely. If you don't want to get pregnant then go and get another shot or get on some other kind of birth control. I personally was on the shot and it has caused me a lot of problems that I was not aware of. Be careful with the shot it could possibly cause long term problems. This drug was first tested on women in Africa and some of them experienced indefinite infertility and there are some women in the US that have also had the same issues. Speak with your doctor on this, better yet do some research and find out what the side effects are besides the ones the doc tells you. I personally hate this drug and what it has done to my body while others have not had any problems while on it. Good luck to you

It depends on how long you've had the shot for and sumtimes it takes a cuple of months to ware off or longer like a year.

Omg. One look at your questions and I can see your already going through battles because the state took your other child away due to your behavior.

Your still a young teen. For the future baby's sake, please don't try to get pregnant again until you are married and have your life straightened out.
