I want to put an elaborate stock illustration on my resume, but I don't know if that's appropriate? I could do the illustration myself, but it would take a tremendous amount of time - it is just decorative with vines and leaves - not hard to recreate, just time consuming!! Help!!

I think that any photos you have made/designed should be a part of your portfolio and not on your resume.

As long as they are connected to the Graphic Design field. For example: I have a 1 year course in secretary ("oficinista" in spanish) and right now i'm taking an AS in Graphic Design. If I want to know as a secretary assistant (example) I have to add in my resume ONLY that I have a 1 year course of "Oficinista". If I want to work as a Graphic Designer, I only need to add my AS of Graphic Design in my resume. My prof. once told me that you can't add in your resume all the different stuff of courses, bachelors, etc you took becuase your boss might think that your head is mixed up with different field experience and think that you're gonna ruin the job. Good luck on finding your job!

these days you can put anything you want on your resume

music you wrote, speeches you gave

if you are gonna need hard copy, maybe use a transparency

if you are homeless, maybe just get a pencil and write it out
I know a guy who got a really great job with a drawn up resume like that.

Astrophysics or something. He was real smart though. Maybe most of us should use a pc. Maybe a typewriter would create an interesting resume.
