It depends on how slow your computer is. RAM is intended to speed the computer up, not the internet. Now if your computer is really slow and you upgrade the memory it may seem like it did speed up the internet when it was actually your computer slowing it down the whole time.

Some dialup ISPs use compression to speed up the transmission of the web pages which can give you a performance boost. (Proprietary software must be installed on your computer to do this.) Sometimes dialup ISPs charge you more to use the faster service.

As long as you do not have any other programs open, it would not help the internet speed. If you have many programs open while surfing the internet, I would recomend you have 1GB of RAM for maximum speed.

Not really, the Ram or Random Access Memory, is support for the CPU its also for temporarily writing data to it may improve computer performance but not a dial up or broadband connection.
