I work for a company were are managers are glorified babysitters.. Try to make yourself feel like you have the upper hand.. Goof off when the opportunity knocks.. and smile at them, make them Wonder :-)

just try to understand the pressure he is at... Resolve it by doing the best of yourself and by working towards the goal of the team. Contribute well so he could bother least about your performance
