These downloading engines will never be safe. You can be safe though by just making sure your virus and firewall software is up to date. Also, before you download a file of any kind of these downloading programs-look at the size of the file, the source (if listed)-If it is a song or video and look at the duration to make sure it's not 30 seconds long when it should be 3mins long(That usually means it's a prank or even a virus. Last but not least, make sure to observe the title or name of the file you want to download. It could be named with numbers at the end or in front or sometimes it may read all lower case with spelling mistakes.

Just keep these in mind. If you download a file that ends up being a virus make sure it's in Quarantine in your security software and delete it ASAP!

Other then that. ENJOY!

By the way, i've been using these programs for 5 years and they work fine if you are carefull when planting your footsteps.

I have been using Limewire for over a year or so now, I can't keep track of time. From what I have found, it is very safe to use, there is virtually no risk that I have found. I have downloaded hundreds of songs from it, and not once found a virus, or anything of the sort. You don't have to worry about it doing anything to your computer or whatever. Go for it.

Its completely criminal to apply Limewire and Limewire professional. Its basically what you acquire and wether you're entitled to a reproduction is yet another component. To acquire William Peterson is prohibited in case you do no longer already very own the dvd. you're able to purchase it or might finally end up procuring 10,000 copies of the dvd and in all probability reformatory time....while you're traced and unfastened in courtroom.

"Safe"? Safe from what? It can contain corrupted files and viruses like any other online facility.

It is as safe as your virus protection is good.

:-)

But is it LEGAL? You have to ensure that whatever peer-to-peer file you download (or upload) is licenced for this purpose and is OK to "share".

Illegal use is not "safe", I guess you could say...

It is illegal to download copyrighted material. It is not safe since many people replace real files with viruses just for fun.
