I start my computer and it goes through the normal boot settings then the screen comes up with the options of Safe mode, last known good configuration and start windows normally. Ive tried all the options several times but once it gets to the Windows XP screen with the status bar, it will restart. And it will eventually lead back to the boot screen with all the options again. Can anyone help me, thanks in advance

Thanks for the answers. It never gets to the windows login screen and I have tried the last known good configuration. I was almost thinking it was the power supply going bad. But it sounds like it could be some sort of virus, what do you guys think about the power supply?

About the virus issue -
I tried safe mode and as soon as it got done loading all the system files it restarted again, so I cant even get into safe mode :(

All the options have been tried but it wont let me get into windows at all.

It sounds like you have an hardware problem.
I would guess the power supply need to be changed/fixed. I had the same issue a year ago.

Almost definitely a virus. I've had the same thing happen to me twice. I tried all the things that you did and I also suspected the power supply. Get to safe mode and run an known good antivirus, Norton or Macafee. Many of the "free" anti-virus programs will in fact infect your computer.

Try to start windows with last good configuration. It is most likely the timerelease virus that makes your computer unexcessable. If this doesnt work you will need to have the hard drive reformatted or do a clean installation with the disc.

Try re-installing windows if this does nto work then there is a hardware issue.
