How can I take a TV show that is on my DVR and transfer it to a DVD disc. This way I can save it off my DVR.?

I have cabe with a motorolla DVR and a new macintosh computer.

Get a stand-alone DVD recorder. Several models are available at reasonable prices. Most DVRs have an output for a VCR or second TV; connect the DVD recorder to that. Then play your recorded show and start "record" on the DVD recorder.

I run the video and audio (optical) from my AV receiver to my computer. You need a capture card or device for that.

Firist of all if it is a Tivo, you can use sonic. the others I do not know.
