My question is does anyone know what it truly means to gothic.And does it have anything to do with satanism.

I asked if the gothic lifestyle had anything to do with satanism.That is not the same as calling them satanist's

Nope, nothing to do with Satanism. The goth subculture is simply a music subculture and a person's religion doesn't matter (there's atheists, wiccans, christians, buddhists, and so on who are goths, and yes, even satanists, but that doesn't mean everyone is a satanist.)

It has nothing to do with satanism. There are goths of all different religions, including Christianity.
Goth is a lifestyle and a symbol of self-expression--more than just wearing black clothes and makeup. Goth people are typically intelligent and creative people, with interests that include art, literature, history, music, religion, etc. Goths express themselves through the clothing they wear, their music, their poetry, art, whatever.
People try to tag "satanic" onto Goths because of the dark clothing, piercings, tattoos, and makeup. Different people have different ways of expressing themselves.
Not all goths are depressed, either. Most are actually pretty happy.

They have nothing to do with satan. I read this defintion on Goth.net it's basicly a person with a little darkness in there soul. As for me I'm Goth but I'm too cheap to go out buying black clothing and plus I think just wearing black all the time is quite boring.

Goths ARE NOT, i repeat ARE NOT satanic worshippers! LOL!
It is a style, like preppy, nerdy, jocks,etc. It's truely funny to that people always want to chew up the goths. Leave us alone! lol
Just like you have feelings, so do Goths. Maybe there is hardship in there life and they deal with it by dressing in dark clothes. Just like preps, they dress what they feel like. American Eagle, Abercrombie, Holister etc.

true goth is a religion, not just people wearing all black, and no its not sadaism!!! most people who say they are goth are not and by no means close to the real thing!!!
