it means your baby has started making her way to the birth canal and labor has started....all bodies are different,of course, but a just a guess would be she'll be here by the end of the week.congrats!

Stationed at -2 is how the doctor describes where the baby's head is in proportion with your pelvis. -4 is at the top of your pelvis and zero is ideal for labor. I would imagine that if you are at -2 and 80% effaced you should be going into labor soon. Everyone is different so be patient. Good Luck and Congratulations :)

Your babies has a remaining 20 percent in the canal to
travel before she is born. You still need to dialate somemore
which means the cervix opening stretches to 10 cm to allow for the birth. You have 8 cms to go! Congratulations!

It means how low the baby is. -2 is still high, then it goes -1, 0. +1, +2. When their at +2 its time to deliver.

"-2 station" means the top of baby's head is two centimeter above the ischial spines. The spines are two points of bone that are felt pointing inward toward the cervix. Many babies stay at -2 station for weeks. Here is a picture: http://www.childbirths.com/euniversity/images/2.29%20Levels%20of%20Progress.jpg

It's how far down the birth canal the baby's head is and you really can't tell anything other than that you will definitely have a baby. When is never known. Congrats.
