I don't think I have seen a remake that I thought was better. Have you? Either remake of an older movie, or remake of a foreign movie.

I don't count The Lord of the Rings as a remake because they were both based on the book, Peter Jackson's was not based on the animated version and thus is not a remake. I would say the only remake I can think of off the top of my head that was better than the origional is The Italian Job. The new one isn't a great film, but it's much better than the 1969 atrocity which starred Michael Caine.

i have under no circumstances seen the unique yet my dad became telling me awhile lower back that he concept The Italian job remake became much better than the unique. i in my view do not recognize of any that were better than the unique. many times remakes are crap. Edit: the most contemporary Phantom of the Opera movie blows each and every of the others, which consists of the Broadway version, out of the water. so a concepts as Ocean's 11, you're extremely comparing apples to oranges. Batman starts/darkish Knight were much better than any of the previous variations. Disney's Chronicles of Narnia are way better than the unique BBC variations.
